Summary
In life, there are always one or two journeys that quietly but deeply change us. Their impact stays forever — shaping how we think, feel, and live.
For me, there are two such journeys:
- The first is Umrah, where I began to feel truly close and connected.
- The second is this — my Mumbai to Himachal road trip, an experience that transformed my mindset, my peace, and even how I see life.
In this series, I’ll take you through how it all began, the challenges we faced on the way, and how this journey ended up changing me from the inside out.

Day 1 – The Beginning of an Unplanned Adventure
I was beyond excited for this trip. We had planned to leave early in the morning, but destiny had other plans.
Our car had a mechanical fault, and we kept getting delayed until midnight. Around 12 AM, we finally got our car back — though the work wasn’t fully done. Still, we decided to leave.
But just a few kilometers ahead, we realized something wasn’t right — the car wasn’t picking up speed properly and struggled on slopes. We called the garage guy, and he said it would get better after driving for a while.
At that moment, I thought maybe all this was a sign from Allah, and that we should leave the next day instead.
But my travel partner, Hasan bhai, told me something that changed my perspective.
He said, “This is normal. Don’t think negatively. Sometimes the small difficulties make the journey more meaningful.”
Even though I wasn’t fully convinced, I decided to trust him — and we continued.
We stopped at Andheri to pick up Hitakshi, who is also a co-founder of Incredible Himalayas, along with Hasan bhai. After that, we finally began our long drive towards Gujarat, late at night.
One of our headlights wasn’t working, but thanks to the well-lit highways, we managed to keep going.
Little did we know that the real adventure — and the lessons — were just about to begin.
